The Magician and The Tower Tarot: i built this for a year — then it blew up in a week

spent a year learning the tools, getting clients, feeling like i finally knew what i was doing. last week my business partner walked out and our biggest client cancelled the same day. whole thing feels fake now.

The Magician and The Tower Tarot Meaning

The Magician upright is skill and tools. You did real work. The Tower upright is a sudden break — partnership, client, structure. Not a slow fade. Together: Magician does not cancel Tower. You can be capable and still get hit by something outside your control. The crash is the news. Your skill is still yours. Concrete check: write what is gone (partner, client) and what skill you still have. Pick one small paid or portfolio task this week that does not need that partner.

Skill and crash can both be true

Magician is not a shield. Tower does not mean you never had skill. You built something. Part of it broke. That is ugly and also common.

Control was never the whole story

You controlled your learning and your hours. You did not control their exit or the cancel. Tower clears the shaky structure. Magician is what you rebuild with.

Angry is fair. Fake is the shame talking. Eat. Sleep. One task that proves the skill is still there. That is enough for this week.
